Supreme court suspends Code of Conduct Tribunal hearing on Saraki's case


The Supreme Court has suspended proceedings in the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal pending the conclusion of the appeal filed by Saraki at the Apex court. The prosecutor told the supreme court that Saraki will sign an undertaken refraining him from doing anything at the tribunal pending the determination of the suit.

The prosecutor said this while urging the court to grant a stay of proceedings. The prosecutor also asked for accelerated hearing as not doing so will give room for a caused person to continue to delay his trial.
